THE STEPHEN JUMA FOUNDATION

Privacy policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit our website or prepare an enquiry.

Your information. Your choices.

Understand how website visits and enquiries are handled.

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This policy applies to the Stephen Juma Foundation website. It covers website visits and enquiries. Participation in a sporting event or program may require separate information and consent.

Information you choose to share

Our enquiry forms ask for your name, email address, area of interest and message. Partnership enquiries also ask for an organization and phone number. An estimated financial or in-kind contribution is optional. Please do not include identity documents, medical records, payment details or other sensitive personal information.

Preparing and sending an enquiry

You can prepare an enquiry without sending it. Information entered in the form stays in the page until you submit it, save it to your device or leave the page. We do not use browser storage to retain form entries.

The form shows whether online delivery is available. When delivery is unavailable, you can save a copy on your device; this does not contact the Foundation. If a submission is rejected because delivery is unavailable, the website does not store or forward your message.

When online delivery is available and you choose to submit, your details are sent to the Foundation’s enquiry receiving service to handle your request. We use those details to understand your interest, respond and discuss relevant next steps. Your enquiry consent does not subscribe you to marketing.

Security and website operation

Our server and hosting infrastructure process technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the website, including IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and response codes. The enquiry service uses temporary hashed identifiers to limit repeated submissions. These identifiers expire after ten minutes and are held in server memory.

The website does not maintain a database of enquiry messages. Messages accepted by an enquiry receiving service are handled separately. Avoid putting personal details in page URLs because URLs may appear in operational logs.

Cookies, analytics and third parties

This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics integrations and does not set advertising cookies. Hosting and enquiry providers process information needed to operate their services. External websites have their own privacy policies.

Retention and access

Personal information should be retained only for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, manage a resulting relationship or meet applicable legal obligations. Any enquiry receiving service must have its retention, access and international transfer arrangements confirmed before it is enabled. We will update this notice when those arrangements are established.

A saved enquiry file remains on your device until you delete it. We cannot retrieve or delete that local copy for you.

Young people and sensitive information

These forms are for general enquiries, not athlete registration or safeguarding reports. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to help with an enquiry. Do not send another person’s private information without permission. This website is not an emergency service.

Your choices and rights

Under Kenya’s data protection framework, you can ask about the use of your information, request access or correction, object to processing and request deletion where the law allows. You may also withdraw consent for future enquiry handling. Withdrawing consent does not change processing that has already taken place lawfully.

We do not currently publish a public email address or phone number. Check the contact page for available channels. If online enquiries are available, choose “Privacy request” as your area of interest. Do not include identity documents in the initial message. If no channel is available, please return for updated contact details.

You can also raise a concern with Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. Read its guidance on your data protection rights.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our website or information-handling arrangements change. The date above identifies the latest version.
